Native Plant Nursery

FAQ

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash, checks and Paypal only. We do not accept credit cards.

Q: How do I get to the nursery?

A: Please see these directions

Q: Do you hold items?

A: Sorry, we cannot hold plants for people. We operate on a first-come, first serve basis.

Q: When is the nursery open?

A: We are open to the public every Friday from 9:30 to 4:00. If you have a fairly large order and cannot make it on Friday, call Pete around 3 in the afternoon to see if he can meet with you after work. His phone number is 510-409-5858. Occasionally we have special sales and open nursery days on other days of the week. Please follow us on Facebook to stay informed about these and other special events.

Q: How do I contact you?

A: Please see our contact page.

Q: Do you offer landscaping services?

A: We do. Please see what we do for more info about this. To book a consultation, please call us at 510.409.5858, or send us an email.

Q: Do you have X in stock?

A: If you are looking for a specific item, please see our plant availability list, which is usually updated weekly. You can browse the entire list, or use the “Finder” tab in the spreadsheet to search for a specific plant. Please note that availability is not 100% guaranteed, because certain items sell out very quickly and sometimes we don’t update our inventory list.

Q: Can I call or email you to get plant or plant care recommendations for my garden?

A: We are happy to answer your general native plant questions and provide recommendations in-person at the nursery on Fridays from 9:30-4:00. Calscape is also an excellent resource for plant care recommendations and plant compatibility information. If you are looking for full-service garden design and landscaping services, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Q: Can I follow you on Social Media?

A: We’d love to have you follow us on Facebook or Instagram. This is also a great way to find out about special open nursery days and sales!

Q: Do you ever have sales? And how often do you get new plants in?

A: Yes! We usually announce our sales on Facebook, but you can also check the plant availability list to see which plants are on sale (pink) and which plants are new and freshly restocked (red)!

You can now search our inventory online!
